A Hidden Gem in the U.S.A

There is nothing better than walking across the sand and taking in beautiful clear waters and beautiful hill tops. We all want to have that perfect getaway...but we all can't afford it. Let's be real; not EVERYONE has a passport. BUT, what if I told you that there is a place that is just as beautiful as Jamaica, but a passport isn't required...you should definitely make a trip to the U.S Virgin Islands!

The U.S Virgin Islands consists of three islands; St.Thomas, St.John, and St. Croix. St. Thomas is the capital, while St.John holds the Islands National Park and St.Croix are the home of historic towns. These three islands are 4 miles apart from one another and 82.88 sq miles on average.  The island is breathtaking and can be enjoyed by all Americans with or without passports.

Here are two things you MUST DO when visiting

1. A Tour of St.Thomas
There are plenty of tours to take in St. Thomas. Tours like Airforce 1 Fun and Sunny Liston Tours (to name a few) can get you to some of the most attractive areas in St. Thomas. From Coki and Sapphire Beach to the famous Mountain Top for shopping and glimpse of the island from the highest point. Whatever you decide to do, make sure a tour is on the top of your list.

2. Magens Bay
Now, if you're looking for some action while relaxing on the beach, Magens Bay is the place to be. But let's be real... if you don't like crowds, this may not be the place for you! Magens Bay is a huge tourist attraction, and you may even find some locals there as well. Unlike a lot of these beaches, Magens Bay has chairs, snorkeling sets, and mats. But most of all there is a BAR! So, for all of you drinkers, you can definitely enjoy a cocktail or 3 while relaxing on the beach.

Now, like every island, there are plenty of places to go and new experiences that need to be made. BUT, How much does this Paradise cost?

Let me be the first to tell you! Last time I checked, money does not grow on trees near my apartment! But there are a few ways you can get to this paradise island for a decent price.

1. Did someone say a Cruise? Yes. A cruise is one of the least expensive ways to get to the USVI. (Checkout Carnival Cruise Lines, Norwegian and Royal Caribbean for cheap rates)

2. WWW. CHEAPCARIBBEAN.COM- This site is going to give you some of the most inexpensive prices for room and flight; they also have all-inclusive packages from some hotels.

3. WHEN IN DOUBT, GROUPON IT OUT! People need to stop sleeping on Groupon! You can find hotel deals in the Caribbean for a steal.
